Text from the organizers:
The exhibition presents, through 15 documentary panels in Romanian, German and English, a synthesis of the life and activity of Baron Samuel von Brukenthal, from his youth and educational training, to his role in the service of the Saxon nation, his career in the imperial administration, his activity as Governor of Transylvania, his profile as collector enthusiast, the cultural heritage left by him and its evolution until now.
Benefiting from a massive documentation and a strong contextualization at historical and geopolitical level in the Enlightenment era, this curatorial approach meets the public interest in the information related to the complex and visionary personality of Baron Samuel von Brukenthal.
