Text from the curators:
During the preventive archeological research, carried out by the Brukenthal National Museum, on the route of the highways built on the Romanian territory, archeological sites were discovered that became emblematic for shaping the evolution of the human communities in Transylvania.
Two emblematic sites, in this sense, are the conventionally numbered sites Cristian I and Cristian III, which offer new and spectacular information about the arrival and accommodation of Neolithic populations and their first contact with local Mesolithic communities.
The exhibition presents synthetically, through 6 panels (3 for each site), spectacular and unique materials, offering a telling look at the moment of Neolithization in the Carpatho-Danubian space.
