The largest ski slope in Sibiu County, Oncesti, with about 1200 m, continues with Daneasa, which is about 500m long.

Paltinis is the oldest mountain ski resort in the country, founded in 1894 by the Transylvanian Carpathian Tourists Society and the mountain resort is situated at the highest altitude - 1442 meters. Ski and snowboard resort of Arena Platos Paltinis opened its doors for the first time seven years ago, in 2010. The slopes are equipped with snow cannons which guarantees snow. At the moment, the slopes are served by four ski lifts and a chairlift for skiers and snowboarders flow relaxation. Furthermore, for those using the toboggan slope, it is equipped with nightlights to make the ascents easy, without equipment. What's more, it has the most modern fun-park in Romania with nightlights, one built on three platforms, each dedicated to three skill levels; beginners, intermediate and advanced. Arena Platos Paltinis was designed from the begining a outset as a sports and health complex, primarily oriented towards families. The Ski School is one of the best in the country, with well-trained teachers who offer customers great results. We have also designed Kindergarten Ski for kids to safely and enjoyably receive their first feeling on skis. The Rental center is also fully equipped with high quality gear, covering a large range of sizes from the smallest skiers and snowboarders to advanced. The children have two slopes for beginners where they can discover the secrets of skiing and for them was prepared a Alley Stories, a promenade where they can meet with their favourite cartoon figures. And last but not least, every weekend at Arena Platos Paltinis there are sport competitions, for professionals, families and  wacky games, such as the already famous  Slide and Freeze or Miss Bikini contest in which competitors must cross on skis or board on an artificial lake built on the slope. The parties and concerts which take place in Arena Platos  have become legendary, apreski  being full every time when up on the slope take place such events.

Magura Park's skating rink, Cisnadie, awaits the fans of ice sport for fun on the skates. Seasonality: December 2017 - February 2018 Price: The entrance fee at the skating rink is 5 lei / hour for children and 10 lei / hour for adults. Payment: Cash Skating hire: 5 lei / hour. Vă așteptăm la cel mai mare patinoar din Sibiu cu o suprafață de 1200 metri pătrați! Se află în Parcul Subarini, iar intrarea se face de pe strada Școala de Înot, imediat dupa cofetăria Sucré. Accesul se face în serii de câte o oră, la prețul de 20 de lei pe oră. Administratorii patinoarului pun la dispoziție patine și antemergător pentru începători, care se închiriază cu câte 15 lei.
