Data și ora:

Strada Cetății 3-5, Sibiu 550160, Romania

The most important conference in the Romanian music industry calendar – the East European Music Conference (EEMC) – will be held at the Thalia Hall in Sibiu, 26-28 July 2018. After the inaugural edition in 2017 attracted over 400 delegates from both the Romanian and wider European industry, the second edition will not only continue the discussions and showcases, but will also introduce its brand new programme: Romanian Music Export.

Romanian Music Export has been set-up to promote Romanian music throughout the rest of Europe and is the first programme of its kind in Romania. It will take place on 26 July, the first day of the EEMC, and will invite producers, booking agents, promoters and cultural operators from Romania and Europe to attend a showcase of five of the hottest bands/artists Romania has to offer.

The featured bands/artists will be selected using a two-stage process. Any band or artist is welcome to apply, as long as they are Romanian and the material they perform is original. The first round of the competition will be judged by a Romanian jury, with successful bands going onto a final stage of the competition that will be decided by an international jury made up of music industry professionals.

Bands/artists can submit their application here: http://eemusic.ro/romanian-music-export/

The EEMC provides an opportunity for representatives of large European festivals (such as Mad Cool Festival, EXIT Festival, and Roskilde Festival); European producers and managers; booking agents, and anyone else interested or involved with the music industry in eastern Europe, to get together, network and collaborate during this unique event held in the stunning Romanian city of Sibiu.

The EEMC is organised with the support of AROC – Asociația Română a Organizatorilor de Concerte si Evenimente Culturale (Romanian Association of Concerts and Cultural Events Organisers), whose founding members are amongst the most important promoters and events in Romania: Emagic, Events, Electric Castle, Summer Well, ARTmania, Blaj aLive and Twin Arts, among others. EEMC is an event supported by Kaufland Romania.

Tickets are available here for the price of 190 Romanian Leu (€41) for the entire three-day event (one day of Romanian Music Export showcases along with two days of EEMC.) Those also wishing to attend ARTmania Festival, which takes place simultaneously, also in Sibiu – can take advantage of a special offer allowing them to purchase a pass for both events at the special price of 300 Romanian Leu (€64).
