Launched in July 2020, the Digital Stage platform brings in 2021 to the performing arts lovers more than 30 theatre, theatre-film and film productions of the Sibiu national theatre. TNRS thus becomes the first national theatre in Romania with an integrated video-on-demand platform, which can be accessed on a subscription or individual ticket basis. The shows hosted by the Digital Stage (www.scena-digitala.ro) are recorded in HD quality of sound and image and are subtitled in English or Romanian, in the case of performances produced by the German Section of TNRS. Those who are interested in the Digital Scene products can purchase individual tickets, at the price of 30 lei, or can opt for a monthly-, three-, six- or 12-month subscription. The cost of subscriptions varies between 49 lei and 329 lei, depending on the duration of the subscription and the number of performances included. The Digital Stage subscribers receive monthly from TNRS a free performance from the international repertoire. Each of these shows will be available only during the current month. Thus, viewers who opt for a monthly subscription will have the opportunity to watch, in addition to all the available offer of the Digital Stage, an additional free show. Likewise, the spectators who choose a three-month subscription will be able to watch three free shows, those who opt for a six-month subscription – six free shows, and those who choose a 12-month subscription – 12 free shows. The gift performances provided by TNRS cannot be viewed on the basis of an individual ticket, as they are intended only for subscription holders!
