On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the launch of Catan, Board Games Community Sibiu is organizing the Local Stage in Sibiu County as part of the Catan National Championship 2025.

We warmly invite you on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 10:00 AM, to the Local Stage of the Catan National Championship – Sibiu, which will take place at Aria Rooftop, Șoseaua Alba Iulia no. 100, Sibiu.

Format:
Each player will play 3 games of the base version of Catan, in Romanian. Seating will be reshuffled after each round.

Final ranking criteria:

Victory points based on placement in each of the 3 games;
Total victory points earned during the competition;
Total percentage of personal points earned across all three games.

Prizes:
Participants ranked 1st to 3rd will be able to choose one of the games offered by the Romanian localizer of Catan, Ideal Board Games, with the first choice going to 1st place.

The Final Stage of the Catan National Championship will take place on November 15–16 in Brașov. The top 10% of participants from each local stage will qualify for this final.

The National Champion will represent Romania at the Catan World/European Championship in 2026, where they will compete against the best players worldwide and bring honor to our country on the international stage.

Important:

Minors between the ages of 8 and 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
A person may only participate in one local stage of the competition, regardless of the city.
