About
The attic space is dedicated to an exhibition showcasing the crafts that shaped the identity of a European region, Transylvania. The exhibition traces the roots and the becoming of significant gestures, as they can be captured through the objects and tools in the museum's collections, but especially as they can still be documented (descriptively, visually and digitally) with the help of contemporary craftsmen. The interdependence of crafts and their associated processes are captured from the perspective of the circulation of European values.
The exhibition offers a new perspective on how craftspeople have economically sustained and influenced both the evolution of communities and the urban and rural cultural landscape.
The exhibition is open every week from Wednesday to Sunday from 10.00 to 18.00. Admission is free in May.
