The Hârtibaciu Valley Steam Train – a soulful journey through nature and history
We are the Prietenii Mocăniței Association, and with the help of passionate volunteers, we have brought back to life a section of the former Sibiu–Agnita narrow-gauge railway. Today, the train runs once again on the Cornățel–Hosman route, offering travelers an authentic experience in a peaceful corner of Transylvania.
The route passes through a quiet, scenic area near Sibiu, where nature is well preserved and the villages still retain their traditional charm. We run trips with restored carriages, and every journey is a chance to discover the history of this railway and to spend time outdoors with family or friends.
Everything you see – from tracks and platforms to trains and events – exists thanks to the volunteer work of people who believe in the value of heritage. We invite you to enjoy a simple and beautiful experience, close to nature and our shared past.
