About
D.A.R. Association Sibiu was established to promote and represent the rights, needs and interests of children and young people with disabilities. The objective of the Association is to improve the situation of children and young people with disabilities and to promote their inclusion and participation in the life of their community.
We want:
• to provide support for the families of children with disabilities to raise and educate them in accordance with their status;
• offer them a cheerful world by creating a special playground;
• supporting families by creating a care and intervention center for physically and mentally stranded individuals at the age of adolescence.

We try to offer the children of the association something other than the regular daily recovery, namely the participation in other therapies meant to offer both smiles and socialization: hippotherapy, swimming, music, relaxation by movement, theater and fun at the playgrounds or mini camps organized for themselves and their families.
There are 30 children with different disabilities: autism, spastic tetraparesis, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, myopia, microcephaly or other forms of disability, that participates to each of our projects and which we hope we can also offer them in the future as many moments of joy as possible through our actions.

This year, with the help of local authorities, who supported and co-funded our project through the Community Agenda, we managed to give these children, during June and July, the fourth edition of the " Other Therapies in DAR (gift) for special children ", a project through which the children benefited both from relaxation, swimming and melotherapy therapies as well as from speech therapy.
