The museum heritage held by the Museum of History Altemberger House, built up over time through acquisitions, donations and transfers of cultural goods, is structured in 21 collections, diverse in theme, marking the specificity and originality of the museum.
The exhibition "Collections and Collectors" is conceived as an incursion into the history of the creation and evolution of the museum, through the presentation of valuable numismatic objects, medieval history, science and technology, glass, medals and decorations, flags, Masonic objects, glass clichés, documentary graphics, from collections that complement the permanent exhibitions currently open to the public. At the same time, it is an event through which we wish to reward today the efforts of collectors who have spent a lifetime collecting objects of great value, for the patrimony of the museum: Baron Samuel von Brukenthal, Emil Sigerus, Johann Michael Ackner, Friedrich Mauksch, Carl Engber, Horia Tipuriță.
The exhibition "Collections and Collectors" is organised by the Brukenthal National Museum, Museum of History-Altemberger House, at the Blue House, Multimedia Hall, from September 15 to October 30 , 2022. The opening will take place on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at 12 p.m.
