On September 4, we welcome Nguyên Lê to Thalia Hall, one of the most important and original guitarists in European jazz. “No one plays guitar like him,” Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung wrote about the French musician of Vietnamese origin.

Nguyên Lê comes to Sibiu with Romain Labaye on electric bass and Alyn Cosker on drums, with a programme featuring selections from some of his best-known fusion albums – “Bakida”, “Silk & Sand”, “Streams”, “Jimi’s Back!” and more.

The evening will open with Marco Mezquida Trio. The Menorca-born pianist comes to Sibiu alongside Gonzalo del Val and David Mengual, with a musical universe that moves through jazz, flamenco, improvisation and contemporary music.
