Program:
In the morning we drive to Balea Cascada, in the Fagaras Mountains - the highest mountains of Romania. From here we will hike to the highest waterfal in Romania – the Balea Waterfal. Then we will hike through Balea Valley up to the Balea Glacier Lake. After a picnic break we will climb until the peak at 2417 m. Here we will have a nice overview of Walachia, Transylvania and also of the spectacular Transfagarasan road. In the afternoon we will drive back to the hotel where you are checked-in.

Sibiu Aero Club organizes, on request, prezentation flights, tandem jumps. Rates: Two-seat ultralight aeroplane - 113 € + 19% vat, per hour, fractional flight are available, 15/30/45 min. Tandem parachute jumps - 140 € + vat + video in flight, 30 € + vat. Parachute jumps require programming and are not available in the winter. You can also take flight courses at Sibiu Aero Club to obtain the following licenses: - Private Pilot PPL-Aircraft: 120 hours of theory and at least 45 flight hours. Aircraft type IAR- 46 - price about 6260 € all-in price. - Ultralight Aeroplane Pilot license: 120 hours of theory and minimum 40 hours of flight on the Ikarus C42 - about 5000 € all in. Parachutist license 65 hours of theory, 75 hours physical training and minimum 25 jumps. Approx. 850 € all in. These courses are held in Sibiu and across Romania Aero Clubs. Young people aged between 16 and 23 can attend free courses within the limits of the available places for each discipline each year. (exclusion of PPL) / Registration is done annually in January at the headquarters of Aero Clubs. Young people that obtain the pilot license can be selected in the county / national teams for performance. Talented pilots can obtain further training, PPL programs, aerobatic training, promote in the national aerobatic teams, obtain Flight instructor license and may follow a professional carer at Romania Aero Club Former members of Sibiu Aero Club, or clients ,that have obtained the PPL pilot license at our Aero Club flew or are flying at well-known Passenger Airlines on big aircraft's like Airbus A320, Boing 747, Boing 787, Boing 737, ATR 42-500, Fokker 100, AN 24.
