Altițe. Inspirație și aspirație

🪡 "Altițe. Inspiration and Aspiration" presents one hundred and twenty-two shirts sewn between 2018 and 2024, based on the drawings of Elisa Brătianu (1943) and Elena C. Cornescu (1906). "They are part of the great European family of shirts, pleated around the neck, opulent, full of silk and glitter, reflecting the East and the West alike. They bring together hundreds and thousands of stories from home and far away, preserving the dialogue between old and new cultures. They are part of the universal heritage and it is hard to believe that anyone who meets our shirts with their sleeve embriodery can remain indifferent. Iile will remain a source of inspiration and that's wonderful, because the world needs beauty 🔆
Alongside these contemporary shirts, a point of inspiration and aspiration, the ASTRA Museum is exhibiting for the first time a landmark costume from its heritage.
🤝The museum's partner in this action is the Association Semne cusute, a "heritage community" that promotes, with respect and responsibility, the working techniques of traditional shirts, drawing inspiration from museum collections and the pages of Pattern Albums.
