Event organized with the support of JTI included in the agenda of the Sibiu International Theatre Festival!
The Brukenthal National Museum invites you to a journey of adventure and discovery around the world during the Sibiu International Theatre Festival FITS. The exhibition is one of the most important and rich events of this kind organized in Romania.
Brought from an important private collection in Bucharest, the pieces displayed in this exhibition are not only beautiful artefacts, but also gateways to new worlds of culture and history, waiting to be explored. Collecting and learning about cultural masks is a great way to expand your horizons, broaden your knowledge and connect with people from different backgrounds. Collecting masks is a way to appreciate and celebrate the rich diversity of our world. Each mask tells a unique story, reflecting the cultural traditions, beliefs and values of the people who created them.
The exhibition also brings to the fore the traditional Romanian masks used on the occasion of various holidays.
By sharing our knowledge and appreciation of cultural masks, we can break down barriers and build bridges between communities. Collectors can also play an important role in supporting local artisans and preserving traditional cultural practices.
We invite you on a journey across the globe, enjoying civilizations, traditions and craftsmanship.
