The Brukenthal von Studio Association, in partnership with the Sibiu City Hall and the Brukenthal National Museum, invites you to the opening of the second edition of Sibiu Contemporary Art on Friday, September 10, 2021, at 4:00 p.m., at the Museum of Contemporary Art, 6, Tribunei Street, an event dedicated to contemporary artistic creation and content diversity. After a successful first edition of SCAF, held last year, now it's the turn of the second part, this time with more guests and more works of art.On the occasion of three centuries since his birth, this year we pay tribute to Baron Samuel von Brukenthal, capitalizing on his vast cultural-human heritage in the context of a new era in strict search of defining models.Starting with September 10, SCAF 2, with the theme "3 Brukenthal enturies", will present in Sibiu 60 artists active locally, nationally or even internationally. This year's guests, as in the previous edition, address various media: painting, drawing, watercolor, linocut, photography, mixed media, collage, digital art, sculpture, modeling, etc., offering the opportunity to get in touch with works belonging to the following: Albert Sofian, Adrian Luca, Alexandra Motiu, Alexandru Cînean, Alexandra Stoica, Alina Banciu, Andra Urdea, Andrea Bernath, Andrei Pandea, Andrei Popa, Andrei Szabó, Aurel Tar, Bogdan Murg, Bulimar Henciu Daniel, Bulimar Henciu Oana, Emanuel Bumbu, Cătalin Precup, Celestina Albișor, Claudiu Doncuțiu, Claudiu Guraliuc, Claudiu Nicodin, Cristian Gabriel Lăpușan, Ștefan Curelici, Dan Neamu, Dan Șușa, Daniel Bălțat, Daniel Munteanu, Eduard Csupan, Florin Viorel, George Raicu, Gio Mitrea, Ioan Muntean, Irina Dora Măgurean, Iulian Bisericaru, John Pârva, Kristina Rațiu Demuth, Kudor Istvan Duka, Lavinia Creţu, Liviu Mihai, Lucian Christian Hamsea, Lucian Muntean, Maxim Dumitraș, Mihai Stăncescu, Mirela Trăistaru, Robert Șimon, Sergiu Păvală, Truțiu Alexandru, Truțiu Nicolae, Máthé László, Vlad Dumitru.A plus of this edition is a special area dedicated to "wearer art" - contemporary jewelry. Curator Diana Pantea will bring to your attention techniques and concepts, sporadically exploited locally, generally found only in events specifically dedicated to this field. In this section you will find creations signed by: Alina Carp, Alis Lalu, Cleopatra Coșuleț, Diana Toboșaru, Doina D. Bacalu, Ionuț Ciobota, Maria Dima, Mihaela Coman, Miruna Belicovici, Silvia Cruceru, Ioana Ardelean, Roxana Hodorog and last, but not least, line curator Diana Pantea.
